Selecting a Location
Install the system on dry, level surface such as a lab bench or table that sup-
ports a total weight of ~400 lbs (~180 kg). The space required for a typical
benchtop system is approximately 188 cm (74") wide by 76 cm (30") deep.
See Figure 5 for proper arrangement and required clearance. The Cryopilot
A is air-cooled and requires adequate ventilation. Since the Cryomixer Jr.
oscillates back and forth, avoid use of wheeled carts.

Cryowedge and Cryohose Installation
CAUTION
Do not stretch or kink the Cryohoses in order to attach them to the Cryo-
wedge. This may cause leaking. Allow adequate slack.
CAUTION
Apply adequate counter torque when tightening the Cryopilot A union
fittings in order to avoid damage to the piping inside.
Place the Cryowedge in the insulated cover provided, making sure that
t
the heat transfer fluid (HTF) inlet and outlet connections are exposed.
Place the insulated Cryowedge on top of the Cryomixer Jr. Position the
t
Cryowedge such that the motion of the Cryomixer Jr. will allow for mixing
along the length of a Cryocassette or from the point of the Cryowedge
(equivalent to the position of the core heat exchanger of a Cryovessel)
to the outer wall (equivalent to the position of the jacket of a Cryovessel).
Slide two Cryowraps onto each hose.
