8 Commissioning
8.1 Filling and ventilation
Prime and aerate the system as required. Aeration of the pump rotor cavity is
carried out automatically after a short operating period. A short-term
dry run will not harm the pump.
WARNING! Danger of burns
Depending on the pump or system operating conditions (fluid temperature),
the entire pump can become very hot.
Touching the pump can cause burns!
The temperature of the cooling body under permitted operating conditions
can reach up to 70°C.
8.2 Selection of pump flow rate
If the pump is operated in the ∆p-c or ∆p-v control modes, the pump flow rate
must be set to the system's calculated duty point. Factory settings do not com-
ply with the flow rate required for the system. It is determined with the help of
the pump curve diagram for the selected pump type (from catalogue/data
sheet). See also Fig. 5 and Fig. 6.
