12. DISPOSAL

When disposing of the 1GP set, comply strictly with the regu-
lations in force in your country, making sure none of the fluid
treated is left inside the pump. Precharge pressure in the
diaphragm tanks must be vented.

PROBABLE CAUSE
- Air precharge in pressure vessel insufficient
- Pressure switch differential too low
- Water leaking from foot valve or piping
Pressure switch outside setting range
- Cavitation due to excessive flow rate
- Cavitation due to suction problems
- Foreign matter between fixed and
rotating parts (fan)
- Bearings worn or damaged

- Restore precharge or replace diaphragm
if broken
- Correct setting by increasing the differential
- Eliminate leaks
Correct setting by decreasing the differential (see
chap. 5.7)
- Close delivery isolating valve slightly
- Take the same action as you would when the
pump is delivering low flow rate
- Remove foreign matter
- Contact your nearest dealer

terials. Specific cases are indicated in the "DEMOLITION"
chapter in PART 2, where applicable.
