Hold the welding shield
and begin welding.
To stop working, set the ON / OFF switch
the "O" ("OFF") position.
ATTENTION!
If the thermal overload protection is automatically
triggered, the yellow control lamp
However, if the overload protection is triggered and
the power supply for welding is energised, the yellow

to weld.
ATTENTION!
Be careful not to rub the welding rod against the
workpiece. This could damage the workpiece and
make it difficult to strike an arc. Maintain the proper
distance to the workpiece after striking the arc. The
distance should correlate to the diameter of the
welding rod used. Maintain this distance as accu-
rately and consistently as possible whilst welding.
The angle between the welding rod and the working
direction should be between 20 and 30 °.
ATTENTION!
After welding, the welding clamp and the welding
rod must be set down on the insulated holder. The
fusion slag can only be removed once the rod has
cooled down. To re-weld the interrupted weld, the
fusion lag must first be removed from the welding
position.
ATTENTION!
The welding tool is protected from overheating. The
control lamp
flashes if the overheat protection is
2
triggered. In this case, switch off the welding tool and
allow it to cool down briefly.

ATTENTION!
Ensure a stable voltage. Power fluctuations can
affect welding.
ATTENTION!
A voltage 10 % below the rated input voltage of
the welding tool may result in:
A drop in the current of the tool.
The arc stopping or becoming unstable.
ATTENTION!
If the voltage is larger or the same as
the welding tool' s nominal input voltage,
this can have the following consequences:
The safety indicator on the device activating.
The welding tool not working.
The arc radiation may cause inflammation of
the eye and skin burns.
Spray and fusion slag may cause eye injuries
and burns.
Wear tinted eye goggles or a face shield.
The face shield must comply with safety stand-
ard EN175.
Only use welding cables included in delivery
(10 mm
).

Welding
Choose from welding with the tool directed towards
the unwelded or the welded part.
The following illustrates how the direction of move-
ment has on the quality of the weld:
