PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The dual-combustion stove produces hot air using either wood
pellets or logs for fuel, at the choice of the user.
Hereunder is the explanation of its functions (the letters refer to
fi gure 1).
When using pellets, the fuel is taken from the hopper (A) and,
by means of a screw (B) driven by a gear motor (C), is carried
to a second screw (B1) driven by a second gear motor (C1) and
then into the burner (D).
The pellets are ignited by the air that is heated by an electrical
resistance (E) and drawn into the combustion chamber by a
smoke extractor.
The smoke produced by combustion are extracted from the
combustion chamber by the same extractor fan and expelled
from the vent which can be connected to the back or on the top
of the stove.
When using wood, draught is natural.
If the door is opened during operation, a by-pass valve con-
nects the combustion chamber directly to the fl ue to avoid
fumes coming out of it.
Lighting can be performed in the following manner:
- MANUAL LIGHTING = lighting the wood with a fi relighter
and closing the door
- AUTOMATIC LIGHTING = using the remote control and
pressing key "A" for 2 seconds starts the pellet lighting-phase,
which allows wood burning.
Furthermore, if the wood in the combustion chamber runs out,
the stove will pass automatically to pellet mode, if desired by
the customer.
The stove has an LED positioned on top of the stove that indi-
cates its operating mode:
- LED OFF: no power
- GREEN LED: functioning with wood
- RED LED: functioning with pellets
- FLASHING RED LED: pellet-phase block
- FLASHING GREEN/GREEN/GREEN/RED LED: "AU-
TOMATIC" function active, DEMY will relight with pellets
when the wood in the combustion chamber is fi nished.
- FLASHING ORANGE LED: "LIGHT WOOD" function
activated.
- GREEN/ORANGE/RED/ORANGE/GREEN LED: burner
cleaning in progress.
The combustion chamber (made of refractory material) is
closed at the front by a ceramic glass door.
The stove is equipped with the innovative E-Brusher system,
which automatically cleans the crucible before each use of pel-
lets in order to ensure lighting even after the use of wood.
Fuel quantity, smoke extraction and combustion air supply
are all controlled by an electronic control board, which is
equipped with Leonardo software to achieve high combustion
effi ciency and low emissions.
All phases of operation can be managed via radio remote
control.
The stove is equipped with a serial port to connect an optional
cable (code 640560) to be connected to devices that allow
remote ignition (e.g. remote telephone, local thermostat, ect.)
