 The connection must be established via a
maintenance unit (combined unit with air filter,
oiler, pressure gauge and water separator, Art.
No. 1 367 044).
Operating pressure: 6 bars

Only operate the BIAX pneumatic scraper with clean
air free from water! For this purpose. connect the
machine to a maintenance unit with a water separator.
The maintenance unit should be installed as close as
possible to the scraper.
 Blow out the pressure hose before connection to
remove impurities.
 Connect the scraper in conjunction with the hose
unit (a) and the single hand coupling (b) to the
maintenance unit (c1 – c3) (see Fig. 1).
Mount the maintenance unit (c1 - c3) in the

following order: water separator (c1) – pressure
regulator (c2) – oil mist lubricator (c3).
 Set the maintenance unit in such a way that 3 – 5
drops of oil per minute are mixed with the air. Only
use oil which is suitable for pneumatic machines
(Art. No. 1 365 605).

Handling

Switching on and off

Caution!
The scraper blade continues to run
after the machine has been switched
off. Do not put the machine aside
until the scraper blade is stationary!
Caution!
The scraper motor has no restart
stop. The machine must be switched
off in the event of a power failure.
Switching on: Electrical scraper: push the regulator
slide forwards.
Switching off: Push the regulator slide backwards.

 Free the lever valve (a) and press the valve lever
(b) down. Free the lever valve.
When work has finished, turn the lever valve back

or release the lever.

Never put your hands near the
running scraper tip and the tool
holder!

The scraper guarantees precise and problem-free
work. However, some essential points should be
respected:
The scraper head must be held firmly with the left
hand. Four fingers should be placed below the
retaining strap with the thumb resting over the strap.
The right hand surrounds the motor and makes the
scraper easier to guide.
Left-handed operators should reverse this holding
technique.
