Handling the scraper
Caution!
With the tool fitted, the scraper is
liable to cause cuts!
Caution!
When the scraper is switched on,
hold it away from the body!
Explosion risk!
The scraper must not be used in
zones where there is an explosion
risk!
Risk of electric shock!
The scraper may not be used in a
humid
environment
exposed to splashing water or steam!
Biax scrapers comply with the relevant Safety
Provisions.
Operating personnel are presumed to be sufficiently
familiar with the techniques of working with scrapers.
Our specialists will provide training.
Do not work with the tool in an environment where
there is an explosion hazard and in the presence of
combustible fluids, gases or dust.
Electric power tools generate sparks which may ignite
dust or vapours.
Keep the tool away from rain or wet conditions. Water
penetration into an electrical appliance increases the
risk of electric shock.
Do not use the cable to carry the machine, hang it up
or to pull the plug out of the power socket.
Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges and
moving machine parts. Damaged or knotted cables
increase the risk of electric shock.
Before starting work and after every break, check the
machine and tool for damage.
Make sure that the tool is firmly seated!
When changing the tool and performing maintenance
work always disconnect the machine from the power
supply.
The scraper continues to run even after the machine
has been switched off!
Do not put the machine aside until it has come to a
standstill!
Use only undamaged original tools!

Warning!
An acute risk of injury occurs in the
event of failure to comply with the
Safety Instructions!
Operating instructions for scrapers

Only connect the compressed air line with the tool in
position and the valve switched off!
On no account may the operating pressure of six bars
be exceeded during operation!
If the air supply is interrupted, turn the machine off
immediately!
Only use the scraper with an undamaged compressed
air hose!
Check the hoses and connections for damage before
starting work.
Note: compressed air which is still present in the hose
can cause the scraper to start unexpectedly!
Always disconnect the machine from the compressed
air network before changing the tool or performing
maintenance work!
Conduct at the workplace
Keep your workplace tidy!
Sparks may occur during scraping work. Remove
combustible objects and materials.
Note: sudden sharp movement of the compressed air
hose can be dangerous!
Concentrate on your work and keep other persons
clear of your working zone!
Keep your tools securely and look after them
carefully!
Repairs may only be performed by qualified
personnel!
Connection and commissioning
Connection of an electric scraper
Only connect the machine to the
mains with the tool clamped in place
and the machine switched off.
Electrically powered scrapers may only be connected
up in compliance with the electrical regulations of the
country concerned. Before use check make sure that
the operating power supply coincides with the
specified machine power supply.
Connection of pneumatic scrapers
Only connect the machine to the
compressed air network with the tool
in place and the valve switched off.
Scraper Type DL-40 has a pneumatic motor. The
connection is made to the compressed air network.
The following points must be respected to ensure
perfect operation:
Always use the original connection hose with
silencer (Art. No. 1 366 530).
