TYPICAL AREAS OF USE: ProShield® 10 model CHF5a coveralls are designed to protect workers from hazardous substances, or sensitive products and processes from contamination by people. They are typically used, depending on toxicity and
exposure conditions, for protection against particles (Type 5), limited liquid splashes or sprays (Type 6).
LIMITATIONS OF USE: Exposure to certain ne particles, very intensive liquid sprays and splashes of hazardous substances may require coveralls of higher mechanical strength, barrier properties or durability than those o ered by the ProShield®
10 model CHF5a coverall. Stay away from ames or intensive heat. Material melts at about 170°C. Do not re-use the ProShield® 10 model CHF5a. For enhanced protection in certain applications, taping of cu s, ankles and hood may be
considered. Please ensure that the ProShield® 10 model CHF5a coverall ts the job conditions and applicable regulations for protection at the foreseen workplace. The user shall ensure proper grounding of both the garment and the wearer.
The resistance between the user and the earth shall be less than 10 Ohm, e.g. by wearing adequate footwear. Electrostatic dissipative protective clothing shall not be opened or removed whilst in presence of ammable or explosive at-
mospheres or while handling ammable or explosive substances. Electrostatic dissipative protective clothing shall not be used in oxygen enriched atmospheres without prior approval of the responsible safety engineer. The electrostatic
dissipative performance of the electrostatic dissipative clothing is a ected by wear and tear, relative humidity, possible contamination and the age of the product. Electrostatic dissipative protective clothing shall permanently cover all non-
complying materials during normal use (including bending and movements). Further information on grounding can be provided by DuPont. The user shall perform a risk analysis upon which he shall base his choice of PPE. The user must
ensure garment selected is compatible with reagents before use. He shall be the sole judge for the correct combination of full body protective coverall and ancillary equipment (gloves, boots, respiratory protective equipment etc.) and for
how long a ProShield® 10 model CHF5a can be worn on a speci c job with respect to its protective performance, wear comfort or heat stress. DuPont shall not accept any responsibility whatsoever for improper use of ProShield® 10 model
CHF5a coveralls. The antistatic properties may reduce over time, the user must ensure the dissipative performance is su cient for the application.
PREPARING FOR USE: In the unlikely event of defects, do not wear the coverall.
STORAGE: ProShield® 10 model CHF5a coveralls may be stored between 15 and 25 °C in the dark (cardboard box) with no UV light exposure. DuPont has performed tests according to ASTM D572 with the conclusion that ProShield® 10 fabric does not
loose physical strength over a period of 3 years. Further information can be provided by DuPont on request.
DISPOSAL: ProShield® 10 model CHF5a coveralls can be incinerated or buried in a controlled land ll without harming the environment. Disposal restrictions depend only upon the contaminant introduced during use.
