7.4.2. HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel)
Using ARC means not only that audio signals are received via HDMI, but that these
signals can also be sent back along the same cable.
In order to use HDMI ARC functions, all connected components must support HDMI
ARC. In addition, you will need at least one "High Speed" HDMI cable (version 1.4 or
later).
8. Starting up the soundbar
8.1. Connecting the soundbar to the power supply
 Check that all the devices you want to connect are connected to the soundbar.
 Connect the supplied mains cable to the AC~ connection socket on the
soundbar and plug the other end into an easily accessible power socket.
The LED indicator light lights up red.
8.2. Switching on the soundbar/switching to standby
mode
 Switch on the soundbar by pressing the
soundbar.
 During operation, press and hold the
remote control to switch the soundbar into standby mode.
The LED indicator light lights up red.
 If you would like to completely switch off the soundbar, disconnect it from the
power supply.
If a television or other audio output device is connected via the AUX IN/
OPTICAL/HDMI ARC connections, the soundbar will switch on
automatically after a few seconds if the television or audio output
device is switched on.
If the connection to the television or audio output device is
disconnected, the soundbar will switch off automatically after approx.
15 minutes.
