4.7.
Installing the remote control (option)
The complete remote control unit comprises a handset (emitter), a receiver, a motor,
a micro switch (only for the thermostat version) and the electric connection cable.
The system works on batteries and does not require any external power source. The
batteries themselves (1 x 9V block for the handset, 4 x 1.5V AA for the receiver)
should be supplied separately.
Follow the following procedure for installation.
•
Remove the plastic cover of the gas control bloc k, place the motor on the
locating pin, and re-install the plastic cover.
•
Mount the micro switch on the plastic cover (only for thermostat version).
•
Connect the electrical wires to the receiver and the gas regulator by means of
the plugs. Reversal is not possible: the plugs are different.
•
Place the batteries in the sender (handset) and in the receiver
(black box; simply remove the cover).
•
Place the receiver on the holder to the left of the gas regulator
housing under the fireplace. Be sure that the detection opening
and the red lamp remain visible.
Now, whenever the handset is operated (see further : operation instructions), the
lamp on the receiver will light up, and the gas regulating knob on the gas regulator
will turn in one or the other direction.
4.8.
Finishing
Close the glass door and secure the handle with the small loc king screw.
Light the unit and check to see that it is working satisfactorily.
4.9.
Packaging materials
Packaging materials should be disposed of in a responsible way and in accordance
with governmental regulations.
