may appear on the glass and on the interior during this initial period. This residue
can be easily removed with a cloth as soon as the unit has cooled off.
Because a fireplace is a heat source that provides for air circulation in the room, it is
important that you do not burn the fireplace soon after renovating. The natural air
circulation causes moisture and uncured paint to be drawn in, which will accumulate
above the unit.
Always turn off the shut-off cock when the unit is not in use.
Broken glass must be replaced before the unit is returned to operation.
If gas is smelled, close the main gas shut-off valve immediately, open windows and
avoid using fire or electrical contacts (switches). Always call a specialist to find any
gas leak.
If any part of the stove might require replacing, only original manufacturers parts
shall be used.
Spillage monitoring system (TTB)
The appliance is equipped with a safety system which will cut off the gas supply
upon the detection of spilled flue gases (too low or no draught, sudden down-
draught, insufficient ventilation of the room).
When the system activates and the stove cuts out, allow about 10 minutes before
attempting to relight the appliance (following the normal ignition procedure). If this
happens normally, there is no further concern. If however the cutting off persists,
consult your installer, who will check the safety system as well as the draught of the
chimney and the ventilation of the room.
Attention!! This is a safety system. It is of the utmost importance that this sys-
tem is not made inoperative. The manufacturer will not be held liable for any
damage or casualty resulting of it!!
