2 Safety notes

2.1 Correct use

Safety in operation is only guaranteed if the dwelling
station "Regudis W-HTF" is used correctly.
The dwelling station "Regudis W-HTF" is used for the
heat transmission from a central heat supply to the
sanitary and heating installation of a dwelling.
Any use of the dwelling station "Regudis W-HTF"
outside the above applications will be considered as
non-compliant and misuse. Claims of any kind against
the manufacturer and/or his authorised representatives
due to damages caused by incorrect use cannot be
accepted.
The observance of the installation and operating
instructions is part of the compliance terms.
2.2 Possible dangers at the installation location
The case of an external fire has not been taken into
consideration when constructing the dwelling station
"Regudis W-HTF".
WARNING
Heavy station
Risk of injury Suitable transport and lifting
devices are to be used. Wear suitable protective
clothing (e.g. safety shoes) during installation and
use safety devices. External components like
handwheels or pressure test points must not be
misused for the absorption of external forces, e.g.
as connection point for lever tools etc.
Hot surfaces
Risk of injury Do not touch without safety gloves.
The dwelling station "Regudis W- HTF" and the
pipework may get very hot during operation. Wear
safety gloves and inactivate the installation before
work commences when fluid temperatures are
high.
Sharp edges
Risk of injury Only touch with safety gloves.
Threads, bore holes and edges are sharp.
Small components
Risk of ingestion Store and install the dwelling
station out of reach of children.
Allergies
Health hazard Do not touch the dwelling station
and avoid any contact if allergies against the used
materials are known.

DANGER
Danger to life
Improper installation may lead to extensive injuries
to persons and damage to property.
For this reason:
Installation, initial operation and maintenance must
only be carried out by qualified tradesmen.
(VDE, EN 12975 & DIN 4807)
Gas and water specialist
Due to professional training, knowledge and experience
as well as knowledge of the relevant standards
and regulations, the gas and water specialist is in a
position to carry out any work at gas installations and
to recognize possible dangers.
Electrician
Due to professional training, knowledge and experience
as well as knowledge of the relevant standards and
regulations, the electrician is in a position to carry out
any work at electrical installations and to recognize
possible dangers.

2.3 Corrosion protection

NOTICE
A copper or nickel brazed stainless steel heat
exchanger is part of the dwelling station
"Regudis W-HTF".
Please observe the document "Demands
on potable water when using Oventrop
fresh water and dwelling stations" see
www. oventrop.com.
NOTICE
The specifying engineer and the user of the system
are responsible to incorporate and evaluate sub-
stances and other factors in the water, which in-
fluence corrosion and the formation of calcium
deposits.
2.4 Legionella protection
NOTICE
The installation of a heated potable water system
must be carried out in accordance with the valid
standards, approved rules of technology and local
regulations The national standards and regulations
must be observed
Especially when operating a circulation system,
the hygiene regulations according to the DWGW
work sheet W551 must be observed
