❐ Do not place the device directly beneath a wall-mounted cupboard or shelf. Make sure that
there is plenty of free space (min. 10 cm) around the device to avoid any build-up of heat.
❐ Maintain a suffi cient distance from heat sources such as hobs or ovens in order not to
damage the device.
❐ Unwind the mains cable fully from the cable mounts before connecting up the device.
❐ The device should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with safety con-
tacts. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains voltage
must match the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension cables whose
technical data is the same as that of the device.
❐ Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. Do not allow it
to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others may become caught and pull
the device down.
❐ Lay the mains cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not
come into contact with hot surfaces (also of the device).
❐ Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cable.
❐ The device has rubber feet. Some items of furniture are coated with materials which could
attack the rubber feet. If necessary, place a pad below the device for safety.
Instructions for Use
❐ Check the device for damage before each use. If the device, the mains cable or the plug
shows visible signs of damage, the device must not be used. Do not use the device if it has
malfunctioned, fallen or been dropped in water.
❐ If the device is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event of any damage,
contact our customer service department.
❐ Switch the device off and pull the mains plug out of the mains socket
– when the device is not in use,
– if a fault occurs while the device is in operation,
– before a thunderstorm,
– before you clean it.
❐ When you want to remove the mains plug from the socket, always pull the plug and never
the cable.
❐ Never immerse the device in water or other liquids! Ensure that the device, cable and
plug do not fall into water or become wet. Should the device fall into water, switch off the
power supply immediately. Do not try to retrieve the device from the water!
❐ Never touch the device, the mains cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐ Do not leave the device switched on when it is unattended.
❐ Use only original parts from the manufacturer.
❐ Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
❐ Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food. Keep metal objects or
other sharp objects away from the device. These objects could damage the ceramic coating
of the baking surface.
❐ Do not place food that is still wrapped in cling fi lm or packed in plastic bags onto the bak-
ing surface.
