CAUTION!
❐ Danger of burns! Be careful when baking crêpes to ensure that you do not touch the hot
baking surface of the device!
❐ The device must always be in a horizontal position while it is being used.
To turn the crêpes, you can use conventional spatulas made of wood or plastic.
Do not use any metal or other sharp-edged objects so that you do not damage
the ceramic-coated baking surface!
Immerse the batter mixture spreader which is also supplied in water before use
so that the batter mixture does not stick to it.
Pour slightly more batter mixture onto the baking surface when baking your fi rst
crêpes. Thicker crêpes are easier to turn than thin ones.
During baking, the green control lamp may go out and then light up again. This
means that the device is heating up again in order to maintain a constant tem-
perature.
1. Prepare the crêpe batter mixture to your own taste. You will fi nd a recipe suggestion later
on in these instructions.
2. Place the device on a dry, heat-resistant, fl at surface at a suffi cient distance from other
objects and from the wall. Make sure that the device is out of the reach of children!
3. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed and earthed 230 V mains socket with earth-
ing contacts. Make sure that the cable does not come into contact with the bak-
ing surface!
4. Slide the temperature control to the temperature setting you want. Test which tempera-
ture setting is suitable for your batter mixture. For thin crêpes, we recommend a medium
temperature setting so that the batter mixture can be spread before it becomes solid.
5. Flip the On/Off switch to position 1. The device will now start to heat up. Once it has
reached its operating temperature, the green control lamp will light up.
6. Pour a blob of crêpe batter mixture into the middle of the baking surface and immediately
spread it in a circle using the batter mixture spreader.
7. When the mixture is no longer liquid and can be moved, slide a spatula under the crêpe,
lift it up and turn it.
8. After a short time, the crêpe should be cooked. Make sure that it does not become too
dark so that it can easily be rolled or folded.
9. Spread the fi lling you want on the crêpe, fold it using the spatula and remove it from the
baking surface. You can also remove the crêpe from the baking surface fi rst and then put
a fi lling on it.
10. If the crêpe has become too dark, reduce the temperature on the device before you bake
a new crêpe.
11. If you do not wish to bake any more crêpes, fl ip the On/Off switch to the 0 position, pull
the plug out of the mains socket and allow the device to cool down completely before you
clean it and then put it away (see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).
