17. Now you may select the strength of the
coffee by pushing the button "STÄRKE"
[strength]. You may choose between light,
medium and strong.
18. If you desire, you may also prepare coffee
from coffee powder. For this purpose, please
push the button "MÜHLE AUS" [MÜHLE
OFF]. The backlight of the button flashes
blue as long as the button is active. The cof-
fee machine will not grind any coffee beans,
until the button is pushed again. Fill the
permanent filter with the desired amount
of coffee powder, using 5 – 7 g (approx. 1
coffee measuring spoon) of medium fine
ground coffee per cup according to the
desired strength. Too finely ground coffee
may clog the pores of the filter and cause
spilling.
19. Press the flap slightly until it latches into
place.
20. Put the glass jug with the lid closed on the
heating plate.
21. Push the button "EIN/AUS" [ON/OFF] again
and the appliance will start to prepare cof-
fee.
