CONTROLS AND CHECK TOOLS

6.1.

Shared Controls and Tools

This section features all controls and tools that are found in all machine models.
Steam Spout (left- and right-hand side)
All machines have two steam spouts:
B = Steam spout - left-hand side
R = Steam spout - right-hand side
Spouts can operate manually and independently; to dispense steam, open the knob with the
relevant device:
Knob (A) to dispense with spout (B).
Knob (Q) to dispense with spout (R).
Cup-warming Surface
The cup-warming surface is standard in all Lucia machines. To operate the cup warmer, located on
the surface (L ), operate the light switch (F). When the cup warmer is enabled, the switch is on.
Water Spout
The water spout (G) is installed on all machines and allows to dispense hot water. It is operated
diff erently depending on the machine model (lever or dose model).
Boiler Water Level Indicator
The indicator (S) shows the water level in the boiler; this is very important during standard op-
eration.
Pump Pressure Gauge
The pressure gauge (N) with 0÷15 bar scale shows the pump pressure only when it is on. This
indicator is very important to check the proper operation of the machine during dispensing.
Boiler Pressure Gauge
The pressure gauge (O) with 0÷2.5 bar scale shows the boiler pressure (and its temperature):
• When the indicator is in the range between 0 and 0.8 bar in the blue section of the ring nut,
the machine is heating up and it is advisable to not brew coff ee.
• The range between 0.8 and 1.6 bar shows that the pressure and the temperature within the
boiler are standard. The machine is in the ideal conditions to make coff ee.
Warning: In case the pressure shown by pressure gauge (O) exceeds 1.6
bar, switch off the machine immediately and call the assistance.
Brew Group
The brew group allows to set a fi lter holder (Fig.07 - Fig.08) to brew coff ee. Each group is
controlled separately and independently. The coff ee brew control is diff erent depending on the
machine.
