HANDLING AND STORAGE

All the operations described in Section 4 must be performed exclusively by
technicians specialised in the handling of packaged and unpackaged ma-
chines. On the basis of the characteristics and weight of the object to be
handled, they shall organise all operating sequences and employ suitable
means to ensure strict compliance with the regulations in force.
4.1.

Packaging

The machine is shipped ready for use, packaged in a carton box. The carton box is made of a base
and a lid.

4.2.

Transport and Handling

During lifting and handling of the load, ensure that the surrounding area
is free of people, and in diffi cult conditions assign suitable personnel to
monitor all movements.
The manual handling of the machine must at least be performed by two people.
The machine must be placed in a vertical position and only after each tray or tank has been emp-
tied.
Lift the packaging and move it carefully while avoiding uneven paths and taking precautionary
measures to any disturbances and protrusions.
Warning: It is forbidden to do additional cuts on the packaging.
The WARRANTY does not cover the damages done to the machine during Transport and Handling.
Repair or replacement of damaged parts are charged to the Customer.
4.3.

Storage

Before storing the machine and whenever you restart the machine after a
period of storage, perform a thorough cleaning.
Warning: Do not pile up more than two machines during storage.
In case of long inactivity, the Machine must be stored following precautions related to the place
and period of Storage:
• Store the machine in a closed place;
• Protect the Machine from crashes and stresses;
• Protect the Machine from humidity and strong temperature gradients;
• Do not allow the Machine to get in contact with corrosive substances.

INSTALLATION

All the operations described in Section 5 must be performed exclusively
by specialised technicians who shall organise all operating sequences and
employ suitable means to ensure strict compliance with the safety regula-
tions in force.
The machine must be installed inside a lit, ventilated building with a solid paved, levelled (below
2° inclination) and fi rm fl oor.
The appliance requires supervision and must be installed in places where it
can be observed by trained personnel.
Warning: It is forbidden to install the machine in places where it can be
reached and touched and/or operated by people who are not those speci-
fi ed in Section 1.2.
Avoid installation if the machine is wet or damp until completely sure it
has properly dried up. In any case, make sure the assistance service pre-
ventively checks the machine for possible damage of the electrical com-
ponents.
The machine must work in environments where temperature is between 10°C and 40°C.
Allow for a space close to the machine to place the dosing grinder. Make
sure a coff ee waste drawer is installed.
5.1.

Assembly-Siting

The operator must verify the following requirements:
• The site should be suitably prepared for the installation of the machine.
• The machine shall be installed on a fl at, robust, still, waterproof surface (either laminated,
steel, ceramic and so on), away from heat sources (ovens, hobs, fi replaces etc.) and in a room
where the temperature is above 5°C to make sure the cup warmer is 150 cm above the fl oor.
• The location should be adequately lit, ventilated and clean, and the power socket should be
easily accessible.
Access to the machine should be kept clear at all times, in order to allow
the operator to easily work on it and to immediately leave the working
area if required.
Note: At least a 50 cm space should be left open on the top part.
For installation, please allow a minimum distance of 30 cm from other appliances for:
• The proper cooling of the machine parts;
• Access to service groups in case of machine malfunction.
After placing the packaging near the installation site, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the staples that keep the packaging closed;
2. Open the carton box; use a cutter to cut the tape that secures the fl aps of the box;
3. Lift the machine and place it in the designated area.
Before operating the machine for the fi rst time, it is necessary to carry out
a thorough cleaning of its parts. For further details, see the related sec-
tion.
After having positioned the machine, you must prepare it for the next use.
(Fig.30) - Remove the plastic panels for cleaning.
(Fig.31) - Bend the external part of the protection inwards (M) and take it off the screws.
Once the protection has been taken out (M) remove all protective fi lms.
Remove the protective fi lms from all the machine sheets.
After removing the protective fi lms, reposition the parts on the machine.
(Fig.31) - Place the transparent protection (M) back.
(Fig.12 - 13) - Remove the grill and the drip tray. Then remove all protective fi lms.
Once the fi lms have been removed, place the grill and drip tray back.
