The S9M type series transducers are suitable for measuring tensile and com­
pressive forces. They provide highly accurate static and dynamic force mea­
surements and must therefore be handled very carefully. Particular care must
be taken during transport and installation of the devices. Dropping or knocking
the transducer may cause permanent damage.
Section Specifications (VDI/VDE 2638) on page 24 lists the permissible limits
for mechanical, thermal and electrical stress. It is essential to take these limits
into account when planning the measuring set-up, during installation and, ulti­
mately, during operation.
