GRINDING DEPTH GAUGES

- set the vise on 0° (photo 18)
- set the wheel arm on 90°(the wheel is perpendicular to the vise), as indicated by the graduated scale positioned on the base (photo 19)
- with a plane-section 6mm-thick wheel and with the arm perpendicular to the vise (photo 19), adjust the grinding depth using the ad-
justment screw (10 - photo 14) (consult the chains table at the end of the handbook, column O).
- at this point, you may start grinding
N.B Using a 6mm-thick wheel, expert operators can maintain the original template of the limiter. In this case, it is recommended to
tilt the wheel arm from 10° to 15° (fig. 4). Make sure that this operation is precise, using the template provided (fig. 3 point A)

MAINTENANCE

- Always disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying out any maintenance, lubrication or cleaning operations.
- The machine must be kept clean, in order to make safety instructions and plates clearly legible. Clean it using a rag or a swab.
- Do not use compressed air, that is likely to bring the metal dust in positions which cannot be reached, damaging essential components
of the machine.

IN CASE OF TECHNICAL PROBLEMS

- The machine does not start:
- check that the plug is perfectly connected to the socket
- check that the machine's power cable is not damaged
- check that the socket is energized
- check that no fuses in the socket are broken
- check that the system's automatic circuit breaker has not fused
If, after these operations, the machine cannot start due to a failure, have it checked by an authorized service centre.
- The lamp does not switch on:
- make sure that the lamp is perfectly secured
- make sure that the lamp has not burnt out
If the problem persists, contact an authorized service centre.
- The connection of the machine to the mains trips the automatic circuit breaker:
- contact an authorized service centre.
- The machine's electric motor is overheated:
- check that the voltage indicated on the technical data plate conforms to the line voltage
- check that the motor's cooling fan is running regularly and is not damaged
- check that the grinding wheel does not stop during grinding
If the problem persists, contact an authorized service centre.
- The direction of rotation of the grinding wheel is opposite to the one indicated on the machine:
- contact an authorized service centre
- The machine produces anomalous vibrations:
- check that the machine is properly fastened onto the work bench
- check that the motor is properly fastened to the arm with the three fastening screws
- check that the vice unit is secured to the base by the knob positioned below it
- check that the abrasive wheel is properly assembled on its cantering hub.
If the problem persists, contact an authorized service centre.
