Setting up the Cannula and Tubing

The alarm system should be verified before use by the equipment provider
and between users by service personnel in accordance with the SimplyGo
Mini service manual
However, the user may verify the functionality of the alarm system as follows:
1
Induce a No Flow Alarm condition by turning the device ON and
completely blocking the patient cannula connector of the device
2
Wait approximately 90 seconds or until the No Flow Alarm occurs
3
Verify that the No Flow Alarm indicators and screen symbols are
present
4
Unblock the patient cannula connector for a minimum of 60 seconds
5
Verify that the No Flow Alarm ceases
To set up the SimplyGo Mini device, follow these steps
1
Connect a nasal cannula to the patient cannula connector on the
device, as shown Ensure that the cannula is routed to prevent it from
being pinched or kinked to avoid a disruption of oxygen flow
Note: A standard single lumen nasal cannula and tubing (not supplied)
should be used to deliver oxygen from the SimplyGo Mini device
The device works with smooth bore cannula tubing up to 25 ft (76
m); however, use of shorter cannula lengths deliver higher pulse
performance See Specifications section under "Flow Settings and Pulse
Volumes" for additional details. The proper placement and positioning
of the nasal cannula in the nose is critical to the consistent operation of
the SimplyGo Mini
