The two trim controllers "ST.TRIM<RR>" (figure 3, item 4) and "ST.TRIM<FR>" (figure 3, item 5) can set the two steer-
ing servos separately so that the vehicle drives straight.
In the middle position of the turning wheel, the vehicle should drive straight ahead. A spring in the wheel automatically
returns the wheel to the centre position. You do not need to hold it there.
Contrary to conventional model cars (e.g. buggies, monster trucks, etc.), the crawler has stiff axles without
differential due to its functional principle. Therefore, there is no rotating speed compensation between the
two wheels of an axle when turning a bend. The vehicle will push slightly via the respective steered wheels
or one wheel will spin slightly in the curve. This is normal. This is made even clearer when the wheels of the
two axles are steered contrary to each other, since there also is no middle differential.
The missing differentials are desired since one wheel would otherwise turn without traction and the vehicle
may stop - even if one of the four wheels would still have contact with the ground.
The function of the crawler drive corresponds to that of a "real" off-road vehicle with locked differentials.
The drive for forward and reverse driving is proportional to the movement at the throttle lever. There is no brake func-
tion as in conventional car models.
1. Let go of throttle lever (neutral position); the vehicle rolls to a halt or does not move anymore (if necessary, adjust
the trim control for the driving function at the transmitter).
2. Drive forwards, pull the throttle lever towards the handle slowly.
3. Reverse, push the throttle lever away from the handle slowly.
