Both springs must be correctly engaged
for the brake system to function proper-
ly. Depending on the machine purchased
(MLT01 or MFL03) assemble the springs
as in figure

8. STORAGE
When the interchangeable equipment is
not used for long periods, it is essential
to protect the tool with anticorrosive and
antioxidant substances.
Apply a light coat of oil on the blades and/
or tools.
Before storing the interchangeable equip-
ment, clean it from leaves and/or dust.

Protect the sharp parts and cover the
machine with protective sheets if nec-
essary.

Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tightened
to ensure safe operation of the machine
and/or interchangeable equipment in safe
conditions.

Before proceeding, read and understand
the chapter "SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS"
in its entirety.
9.1 GREASING
After each use and after each wash,
grease the moving parts that make up the
bar with graphite grease.

9.2 BLADE ADJUSTMENT

Wear protective gloves.

If the clearance between the upper blade
and the base becomes excessive, the
sheet presses (d) must be adjusted.
Proceed as follows:
Offset the upper blade (a) from the base.

Screw in the sheet presses (b) until the
clearance is undone. The upper blade (a)
should not vibrate or move vertically.
Tighten the 4 sheet presses (b) progres-
sively from one side of the bar to the oth-
er, continuing to check the clearance on
the blade (a).
CAUTION!
The clearance must be but undone, but
the bar must be allowed to move longitu-
dinally (cut). Tightening the sheet press-
es (b) too much could lead to damage to
the bar movement and the machine.
9.3 BLADE REPLACEMENT

Follow the procedure described above in
reverse order to install the new blade.
Add Locktite 83-54 before installing the
two screws in the figure
place all the screws with new threadlock.
Disassemble the blade according to the
procedure indicated under "BLADE RE-
PLACEMENT".
Sharpen the cutting edges of each blade
with a suitable tool (grinder, file or other)
following the inclination indicated in the
figure,

Wait for all the hot parts to cool down (at

least 20 minutes) before washing and/or
cleaning the machine or the interchange-
able equipment. Use compressed air or a
sponge with neutral detergent and water.
After washing, apply a light coat of oil on
the blades and/or tools to avoid oxidation.
Do not use pressurised water to wash the
machine and/or interchangeable equip-
ment. Doing so can damage the motor
and any electrical systems or batteries.
Avoid excessive use of water near labels.
In the event of damage, labels must be
replaced before using the machine and/
or the interchangeable equipment again.
