Mulch sheet laying procedure
The mulch sheet must be laid on soil which
has been sufficiently crushed and levelled
and properly prepared with a harrow or cul-
tivator.
Do not lay the mulch sheet on ground that is
overly damp.
To lay the mulch sheet on the ground, pro-
ceed as outlined below.
1)
Position the machine lengthways on
the stretch of ground to cover with the
mulch sheet.
2)
Adjust the position of the hoeing shares
(see "Adjusting the hoeing shares").
3)
Adjust the position of the ridging disks
(see "Adjusting the ridging disks").
4)
Adjust the position of the pressure
wheels on sheet (see "Adjusting the pressure wheels
on plastic mulch sheet").
5)
Adjust the distance from the soil of the support for
the mulch sheet roll - idler roller (see "Adjusting the
support for the mulch sheet roll - idler roller").
6)
Adjust the position of the support wheels (see "Ad-
justing the support wheels").
7)
Unroll the roll (A), following the route of the mulch
sheet, as shown in the figure.
8)
Lift the work vehicle slightly off the ground.
9)
Lower the mulch sheet tensioning device (B).
10) Adjust the mulch sheet unrolling tension (see "Ad-
justing the mulch sheet unrolling tension").
11) Using the tractor's controls, lower the work vehicle
to the ground.
12) Hold mulch sheet on the ground.

13) Drive the work vehicle forwards slowly, checking
regularly that the mulch sheet is properly laid; if
necessary, make the appropriate corrective meas-
ures.
14) Upon completing a laying stretch, cut the mulch
sheet before beginning a new stretch.
Information
When laying, do not reverse the tractor, as this could
damage the work vehicle.
Before engaging the reverse gear, lift the machine
off the ground.
