Complete the compass housing from parts 7.9
Compass housing and 7.10 Support.
Slide the support into the housing so that the
support is flush with the lower edge, thus creat-
ing the recessed support for the compass rose
and the compass glass.

Insert the finished compass housing in the
cockpit and glue it from below.
This is the perfect time to paint the cockpit
insert. Before painting, wash the ABS parts
from any lubricant still present from the deep
drawing process. This can be done with rinse
water or silicone remover.
Do not rub dry after washing, just dab with
kitchen paper and let air dry. Rubbing causes
the plastic to become statically charged, which
leads to problems during painting.
Sand the surface with 600 to 1000 wet sand-
paper before painting.
After painting and drying, the cockpit floor and
the decoration for the instruments and the
companionway door can be applied.

Apply pore filler to the cockpit floor before glu-
ing, sand and paint it matt.

The next step is to make the steering wheel
and the throttle.
