Fig. drive shaft
Press the flanged bushing 3.7 and the bushing
3.8 into the shaft bore of the rudder using the
shaft 3.10.
Screw the lock nut 3.9 onto the shaft 3.10 until
the thread runs out. Insert the shaft again and
check for smooth running. Mark the length of
the end protruding forward and file a flattening
for the grub screw. Slide the universal joint
onto the end. The grub screw must be located
above the shaft flattening. The central axis of
screw 3.2 must be aligned with the central axis
of the universal joint
Tighten the grub screw so that the shaft has a
longitudinal play of approx. 1.5 mm.

already installed).

Hook the long Z-bar 3.12 into the rudder horn
3.11.
Push the Z-rod through the socket of the rud-
der support and screw the rudder horn to the
rudder with self-tapping screws 3.13.

Apply silicone sealant over the entire surface
of the rudder bracket 2.3 to seal it. This glue
remains removable for possible repair work.
Place the rudder unit on the transom and fix it
with self-tapping screws 3.14.
The propeller 3.15 is only fitted after the func-
tional test.
Stage 4, Installation of the drive,
Parts 4.1 - 4.10
On the shaft of the motor 4.1 file a surface "F"
for a grub screw of the clutch. Cover the cool-
ing slots of the motor so that no metal particles
get inside.

Also file a 7mm long surface on both sides of
the boat shaft 4.4 for the grub screw.

Slide the coupling 4.2 onto the motor shaft.
Keep a distance of 1 mm from the end shield
and tighten the grub screw over the flat sur-
face.
