The feed length of the roller upper feed can be variously adjusted to
the lower feed up to max. 7 mm with the help of the setting wheel 2.
With the swivelling of the hand lever 1 in the direction of the operating
personnel, the feed roller is swivelled out of the operating range. The
roller upper feed does not have any function.
With the swivelling of the hand lever 1 in reverse direction, the feed
roller is swivelled into the operating range.
Notes
If the roller upper feed is not needed for a long time, then the feed
length should be adjusted to the minimum value with the help of the
setting wheel, in order not to unnecessarily load the mechanics.
For the electro-pneumatic lifting and lowering of the feed roller, there
is a function module in the control unit of the sewing motor that can
be activated using a parameter. (For set values, see parameter table
6.16.3 row A)
General information
Function module
A function module is a part of the control unit that controls an
equipment feature of the machine, such as e.g. the lifting and lowering
of the feed roller.
Each function module is composed of the following hardware:
Output (A and/or B) e.g. for switching operation of a magnetic
valve.
Input (A and/or B) e.g. for connecting a button.
Output for a light-emitting diode (A and/or B), which e.g. shows a
switching status.
Each function module can switch over to various functions with the
help of the software. For each function module, there are additional
parameters, e.g. for activating counting processes or for switching
between functions after thread cutting.
