5.9 ELECTRIC SYSTEM

- Battery
Check electrolyte level and keep it topped up so that the battery elements are
always covered. Add distilled water with the engine switched off and with no
naked flames nearby. Check battery clamp fixing performance and keep them
greased with Vaseline. Keep the battery clean and if the tractor has to be
inactive for a long time, remove the battery and store it in a cool dry place.
- Clogging gauge of the engine air filter (n°7 fig.12)
Check that the clogging gauge of the engine air filter is in the correct position
and, if it is serviced, make sure that it is correctly assembled and protected
against the outdoor weather conditions as indicated in fig. 4.
It is essential for the cable connecting to the electrical system of the machine N°
1 fig. 4 to come out of the lower part of the actual gauge itself. The engine air
intake circuit could be seriously damaged if the protection is installed in the
wrong position.
- Fuses (n.8 fig.12)
Before changing a fuse, find and eliminate the short circuit that caused it to blow.
The fuses protect the following circuits: (Fig.22):
A = work lights (15A).
B = motor stop solenoid - alternator energizing - water temperature gauge - fuel
gauge - fuel reserve indicator light - generator indicator light - engine oil
pressure indcator light - clogged air filter (10A).
C = 7-pin socket - right rear left front side lights - fuel gauge light - water
temperature light (5A).
D = front right/left side lights - number plate light – rpm-hour meter light - 7-pin
socket (5A).
E = turret switch - drain selection switch - differential release push-button (10A).
F = 7-pin socket - brake light switch (10A).
G = left dipped beam (5A).
H = right dipped beam (5A).
I = +15 direction indicator hazard light switch power supply (15A).
L = +30 power supply of 1-pin socket – direction indicator hazard light switch
(15A).
M = horn (15 A).
N = left/right main beam – main beam indicator light (15A).
The tractor has a main 60A knife blade fuse (9 Fig. 12). This fuse protects the
entire electric system.
