5.8.4 Brake adjustment

Check wear on brake shoe linings by removing the inspection plugs n.2 fig.12.
When free travel at the end of the pedal is around 120 mm, the brake shoes
should be adjusted as follows:
Remove plug n.3 fig.12 and turn the lock washer towards the bottom. Do this on
all the brake shoes until pedal travel has been reduced to around 30 mm. Check
to make sure that the braking action is even on all wheels. Also make sure that
all four wheel are braked together.

5.8.5 Mudguard registration

Mudguard width can be adjusted for the type of track width used. There is about
35mm of width adjustment per side.
Starting from the mudguards at the maximum width, follow these steps to adjust
them to the minimum width:
:hp2.Front mudguards:ehp2. - Remove the screws that fix the mudguard by the
roll bar mounting; unscrew the tie-rods (n.3 fig.8) fixing the mudguard to the
wheel hub and fix the mudguard to a more inside race.
Re-tighten the tie-rods on the wheel hub and insert and tighten the screws fixing
the mudguard to the roll bar support.
Repeat these steps on the other mudguard.
:hp2.Rear mudguards:ehp2. - To reduce width, move the hydraulic lift lever link-
rod (n.8 fig.1) to the inside and fix it again between the spooling valve lever nuts.
Remove the PTO select lever (n.9 fig.1) from the mudguard; slacken off the
mudguard inside screws and the ones behind the wheel. Slacken off the screws
fixing the mudguard to the platform. Push the mudguard inwards. Re-tighten the
mudguard fixing screws and the ones on the platform. Repeat these steps on
the other mudguard. Remove the washer on the PTO lever and replace it with
the shorter screw in the accessory kit. Fix the lever in a more inside position and
attach it using the pre-drilled fixing holes-
To widen the mudguards, follow these steps in reverse order.

5.9 ELECTRIC SYSTEM

- Battery:
Check electrolyte level and make sure it always covers the battery elements.
When necessary, add distilled water with the engine off and with no naked
flames nearby. Check clamp fixing performance and keep them greased with
vaseline. Keep the battery clean. If the tractor is to be inactive for a long time,
remove the battery and store it in a cool dry place.
