POTENTIAL HAZARD
- The operation of the mower housing with a loose or weakened blade screw
can be dangerous.
WHAT COULD HAPPEN
- A loose or weakened blade screw may allow a fast-rotating blade to come out
under the housing, thus causing severe injury or damage to property.
HOW TO AVOID DANGER
- DO NOT lubricate the thread of the screw or shaft before assembly.
- Tighten the blade screw 66±13ft-lb (90±18N·m).
- Stop the engine, wait for all rotary parts to stop, remove the key or remove
the cord from the spark plug – before removing the blades.
5.1.5 Check the safety lock system
Service interval: Daily.
Keep the torque of this screw at 66±13ft-
lb (90±18N·m)
