POTENTIAL HAZARD
- Parts of the engine that run, especially the exhaust - become very hot.
WHAT COULD HAPPEN
- Serious burns may occur during contact.
- Scraps such as leaves, grass, shrubs, etc., can burn.
HOW TO AVOID DANGER
- Wait for the engine parts, especially the exhaust, to cool - before touching.
- Remove the accumulated waste from the exhaust and engine compartment.
- Mount and maintain the spark arrestor in working condition before using the
equipment on uncultivated land covered with forest, grass or bushes.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
- Hands, feet, hair, clothing or equipment - can be trapped in the rotary parts.
WHAT COULD HAPPEN
- Contact with rotary parts may cause traumatic amputation or severe
laceration.
HOW TO AVOID DANGER
- Do not operate the device with no protective or safety devices at your
workplace or if you are not in proper working condition.
- Keep your hands, feet, hair, jewelry or clothing - away from moving parts.
1.4.1 Completely focus on the work you need to do.
1.4.2 Mow only in daylight or in good artificial light. Beware of holes and hidden
dangers. NEVER drive passengers. DO NOT work with the mower - when children
or other people are in the working area!
1.4.3 When this is feasible - Avoid working with the equipment in wet grass.
1.4.4 Be extremely careful when mowing and/or turning on slopes, as traction loss
and/or rollover may occur. The operator is responsible for safe work on slopes.
