Villager
locked position. Turn the key switch to the "OFF" position. Remove the key - to
prevent children or other unauthorized persons from starting the engine. Close the
fuel shut-off valve - when the device is not used for several days, when it is
transported and when the unit is parked inside the building.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
- During maintenance or adjustment – someone can start the engine.
WHAT COULD HAPPEN
- Accidental starting of the engine can seriously injure you or other persons.
HOW TO AVOID DANGER
- Remove the key from the ignition switch and remove the cord from the spark
plug - before starting any maintenance. Also, slide the cord aside - so it does
not come in contact with the spark plug.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
- The engine can get very hot.
WHAT COULD HAPPEN
- Contact with a hot engine can cause serious burns.
HOW TO AVOID DANGER
- Wait until the engine cools down completely - before servicing or repairing
around the engine compartment.

5.1 PERIODICAL MAINTENANCE

5.1.1 Check the oil level in the engine
Service interval: Daily.
 Make sure the unit is on a flat surface. Stop the engine, wait for all moving parts
to stop, remove the key or remove the cord from the spark plug.
 Check that the engine has cooled down.
 Clean the area around the rod to measure the oil level. Remove the measuring
rod and wipe off the oil. Return the measuring rod. Do not wrap it. Remove the
rod and read the oil level.
