Battery maintenance and charging

DANGER!
Do not check the batteries by sparking. The batteries give off flammable fumes. Put out all fires and hot embers
before checking or topping up the battery level. Perform the operations described below in a ventilated area. When
recharging the batteries, the dirty water tank must be open (rotated backwards) so as to allow correct air flow
in the battery and battery charger compartment. In the case of gel batteries, use a specific charger for gel batteries
only. To avoid permanent damage to the batteries, do not run them down completely. Charge the batteries as
instructed in the battery charger manual. Disconnect the connectors at the end of charging. To avoid permanent
damage to the batteries, do not run them down completely.
"STANDALONE" battery charger, electrical connection to the machine:
Lift the dirty water tank.
Press the emergency switch (fig.24, ref. 1).
Lift the connector (fig. 24, ref.2-3), removing it from the two pins.
Attach the connector to the battery charger.
Start the recharge cycle.
Disconnect the connectors at the end of charging.
