INSTALLING
a. Installing and linking the bases
Selection of the location/range
Before installing the bases, consider the following advice:
• The range can be greatly reduced for technical reasons: concrete, metal, double glazing,
etc. may influence the TOPTEL's range,
Choosing a good location for the base may significantly increase reception.
* Example: position the base near a window for good reception in the garden
• The telephone has a maximum range of 50 m inside and up to 200 m outside, if the device is out of
range the icon
disappears from the screen (= out of range),
b. Linking the charging station and the base station
Read the safety instructions:
- Place the bases on a flat and stable surface
- Link the respective power supplies
- Place the mobile device in the charging station (so that the keys face you). Once the mobile device is properly
placed in the charging station, the battery symbol
the charging station also turns on. This LED remains turned on (even when the batteries are completely depleted)
to show the proper connection to the power supply.
- As soon as the base station is connected to the network the red/green light indicator turns on for a while with
a sound beep.
IMPORTANT: The base and telephone should be protected from sun light, sources of heat (radiators, hobs,
etc.) and moisture (bathroom, shower, etc.).
CAUTION:
In order to maintain the lowest interference risk, do not place the base station near devices such as
television, screen, other telephone, fan, etc. Do not expose the base station to direct sun light or near heat source.
The charging system of this model may generate a warming of the mobile device and of the batteries. This is normal
and will not damage the devices. Use exclusively the original batteries. The warranty does not cover any damage
caused by the use of other batteries.
c. Connecting the base station to the telephone network
First connect the telephone cord to the back of the base
supplied adaptor.)
Important: the phone jack should be properly inserted in the telephone socket (you should feel a resistance),
