Changing the light/dark setting

The light/dark setting adjusts how light or dark the transmitted image
will appear on the recipient fax machine.
To change the light/dark setting, perform the following steps.

Receiving faxes

When the fax accessory receives incoming faxes, it stores them in
memory before printing. Once the entire fax is stored, it is printed
and then deleted from memory. Faxes print when received, unless
Schedule Printing of Faxes is enabled. If Schedule Printing of Faxes
is enabled, all incoming faxes are stored in memory and not printed.
When Schedule Printing of Faxes is disabled, all stored faxes print,
see "Scheduling fax printing (memory lock)" on page 49.
You can change the fax receive default settings to modify the way a
fax is received. These settings include:
For information on changing these menu settings, see Chapter 3,
"Configuration" on page 33 and Chapter 4 "Faxing (advanced)" on
page 47.
You cannot cancel incoming faxes.

On the control panel main screen, touch the FAX icon to display
the Fax screen.
Touch Settings to display the Settings screen.
Touch the Light arrow to lighten the image or touch the Dark
arrow to darken the image.
Touch OK to accept the setting.
Selecting the number of rings-to-answer
Printing date, time, and page number on faxes (stamp)
Selecting input paper tray and destination bin
Forwarding faxes to another number
Blocking faxes from certain numbers
