19.1. Safety instructions for commissioning and operating the gate
system
The initial start-up may only be carried out by a competent / knowledgeable
person!
Damage or injury can occur in the area of the gate system during gate move-
ments. The gate leaf can collide with persons who are within the gate's range
of movement and injure them (seriously). Limbs can be caught by the gate and
carried away. There is a risk that limbs that get between the sliding gate and
fixed components of the system could be severed.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR HAZARD AVOIDANCE
x Children and animals must be kept away from the gate system when the
gate is moving. Children must not play at the gate system.
x Make sure that neither persons nor objects are in the path of the gate.
x The clearance between the gate leaf and the ground must be selected in
such a way as to prevent the risk of feet being dragged.
x The gate should be closed when there is visual contact with the gate
movement area.
x Monitor the gate movement until the gate has reached its end position.
x During the opening and closing of the gate, the working area of the gate
system must not be entered or passed through!
x Do not remain standing in the opened gate system!
x If possible, install an emergency stop command transmitter in order to
be able to trigger an immediate stop in case of emergency.
