5 .2 Cleaning the photocells

If paper particles should come to rest in the inlet gui-
de (for example after a paper jam) it is possible that
the machine will not turn off, due to the broken light
barrier.
To remove these paper strips and also to clean the
photocell, pass another sheet of paper through the
feed slot, or switch the machine off and wipe both
"eyes" of the photocell with a brush.
5 .3 To start the initializing run ma-
nually
The initializing run fills the drip tubes with oil. Someti-
mes it is necessary (e.g. after changing the drip tubes)

to start the initializing run manually:

1 . The machine must be switched off!
2 . Open the door (fig. 4/1).
3 . Press and hold the reverse button (fig. 3/6).
4 . Briefly press the function button (fig. 3/1).

5 . Let go of the reverse button (fig. 3/6).
6 . Close the door and briefly press the forward but-
ton. (This must be done within the 30 seconds.)
¾ All LED indicators on the display light up briefly.
¾ The pumps start the oil flow.
When the drip tube has been filled with oil, the machi-
ne switches off automatically.
NOTE!
The machine cannot shred while the drip tube
is being filled with oil.

5 .4 Automatic energy saving

If the machine is not used for a while it automatically
switches off after about 15 minutes. The function but-
ton (fig. 3/1) LED display
the function button briefly to turn it on again.

5 .5 Disposing of the machine

Dispose of the machine in an environmen-
tally friendly fashion at the end of its useful
service life. Do not dispose of any of the parts
included in the machine or its packaging with
household waste.
