Oil Pump

The external gear oil pump is housed in the oil pan
top section and is chain-driven by the crankshaft.
The oil pressure is controlled inside the pump by
a control spring and piston. The system is also
protected against overpressure by a spring loaded
valve ball (cold start valve).
