7.3.6 Replacing the firebox door seal
To replace the seal:
► Open the firebox door.
► Pull the old seal out of the rail starting at one end
and dispose of it in the waste (Fig. 19).
► Wrap approx. 3 cm of one end of the new seal with copper tape
(Fig. 20).
► When installing the seal, ensure it does not sag and is slightly
compressed (Fig. 21).
► Start installing the seal at the middle of the rail at the top
of the firebox door.
Push the seal evenly into the rail (Fig. 22). Allow the end
to protrude slightly and trim the seal flush (Fig. 23).
► Also wrap this end in copper tape (Fig. 20) and push the seal
into the rail (Fig. 24)
9 Close the firebox door.
