6.4.1 Kindling

6.4.2 Lighting the fire
Before lighting the fire, ensure the ash drawer is flush with the seal:
► Open the firebox door.
► Place the logs in the middle of the grate in the
firebox (Figure 11):
► the first 3 (

The firebox glass must be supplied with sufficient window air
to prevent soot build-up.
Opening the ash drawer whilst lighting can cause heavy soot build-up on the
firebox glass.
► Do not open the ash drawer whilst heating.
► Before using your stove, always ensure the ash drawer is flush
with the seal.

6.4.3 When to add fuel

The iQ technology will notify when to add fuel.
To minimise emissions, fuel should always be added at the optimal time:

CAUTION: HEATING MALFUNCTIONS
When adding too much fuel to the stove (overload), the controller fails or the
LED shows errors:
► Keep the firebox door closed.
► Never extinguish the burn-off with water.
► Allow the fire to burn out controlled.

6.4.5 Adding fuel

CAUTION: ADDING FUEL
The stove becomes very hot whilst heating:
► Open the firebox door carefully using the included stove glove.
► Carefully add fuel.
► Avoid the firebed becoming too high.
► Always keep the firebox door and ash drawer closed whilst
heating.
► Regularly clean the firebox.
