6 Initial operation

6.1 Safety notes

CAUTION: INITIAL OPERATION
The first time a stove is operated, the heat generated causes volatile
components to be released from the coating, sealing strips and the
lubricants as well as smoke and odours:
► Do not stay longer in the affected rooms than necessary.
► Open windows and doors to ensure adequate ventilation.
► If necessary, use a fan for fast air exchange.
► Only operate the stove with the firebox door closed.
► The firebox door may be opened to add fuel during operation.
WARNING: KINDLING
Improper use of kindling (petrol, spirits or other flammable liquids) can
damage your stove and result in burns due to explosive flames:
► Never use petrol, spirits or other flammable liquids.
► Only use the type of kindling specified in the operating
instructions.
WARNING: ELECTRIC SHOCK
Connecting the controller under the stove to a 230 Volt mains socket can
result in electric shock due to contact with the stove:
► Do not connect your stove to a 230 Volt mains socket under the
stove.
► The connection under the stove must be a USB connection
with max. 5 Volt.
