** For the cables of the Stop and SbS inputs, it is also possible to use a single cable with multiple internal conductors, to group multiple connec-
tions: for example, the Stop and SbS inputs can be connected to the KS200 (optional) selector with a cable measuring 4 x 0.5 mm
CAUTION! – The ECSbus cables must be positioned in different raceways with respect to the motor cables.
CAUTION! – The cables used must be suited to the installation environment; for example a cable of type H03VV-F for indoor envi-
ronments, or type H07RN-F for outdoor environments.
3.5 - INSTALLING THE MAESTRO GEARMOTORS model 300M/300C
• All installation operations must be made with the system disconnected from the power supply. If the back-up battery is present, it
must be disconnected
• Incorrect installation may cause serious physical injury to those working on or using the system.
• Prior to starting, carry out the pre-installation checks stated under Paragraph 3.1.
• For the system's correct operation, it is necessary to include mechanical stops (not provided with the kit) on the ground or wall,
positioned at the maximum opening and closing points of the gate leaf.
3.5.1 - INSTALLATION OF MAESTRO 300 GEAR MOTORS
01. Check the dimensions of the gear motor and measure value "B" (phase 01 and 02 -
fig. 3).
02. Bring the leaf to the desired maximum opening position and check if the value of the
angle found falls within the values shown in Graph 1.
03. With value "B" and the opening angle, determine value "A" (graph 1 and phase 02 - fig.
3). Example: if "B" is 100 mm and the desired angle is 100°, value "A" is about 180
mm.
04. Fix to the wall, horizontally, the gear motor fixing bracket (phases 04/05/06/07 - fig.
3). Use appropriate dowels, screws and washers (not supplied).
06. Secure the gear motor to the previously fixed bracket, as shown in phases 08/09 -
fig. 3: use the screw M6x100 supplied.
07. Now, fix the curved arm to the straight arm, using the pin and the stop benzing (phase
10 - fig. 3); then, fix the gate leaf fixing bracket to the curved arm, using the pin and the
stop benzing (phase 10 - fig. 3).
08. Manually unlock the gear motor (phase 11 - fig. 3).
09. At this point, determine the area where the bracket must be fixed to the gate leaf by
lengthening the gear motor arms to their maximum (phase 12 - fig. 3): it is important to position the bracket in the farthest point from the gear
motor position.
10. Drill the leaf and fix the bracket using suitable screws (not supplied) (phases 13/14/15 - fig. 3).
11. Before locking the gearmotor, adjust the opening mechanical limit switch (paragraph 3.5.2).
12. Repeat the whole operation for the other gear motor.

3.5.2 - ADJUSTMENT OF THE MECHANICAL OPENING LIMIT SWITCH

If in your installation environment there are no mechanical stops positioned on the floor, designed to stop the gate leaves at the end of their opening
movement, it is necessary to adjust the mechanical limit switch on the lower face of each gear motor, as follows:
01. Manually take the gate leaves to their maximum opening position.
02. Rotate the plastic disc located on the lower part of the gear motor, bringing the slit under the arm to the position shown in phase 16 - fig. 3.
03. Insert the limit switch in the first possible position: try to insert it as shown in phase 17 - fig. 3 (opening direction);
04. Rotate the disc to prevent the limit switch from falling, bringing the slit in the position shown in phase 18 - fig. 3; for a more precise adjustment,
act on the adjusting screw (phase 19 - fig. 3);
05. If the closing ground stop is not present in the system, it is necessary to repeat the procedure from point 01 also for the adjustment of the closing
limit switch;
06. Finally, screw the nut fixing the disc fully in (phase 20 - fig. 3) to make sure it cannot turn accidentally.
07. Lock the gear motor (phase 21 - fig. 3).
At this point, it is possible to install the accessories pertaining to the system: for photocells PH200 > Par. 3.6 (Fig. 4) - for flashing light FL200
> Par. 3.7 (Fig. 5). For other optional accessories, consult the respective instruction manuals.
3.6 - INSTALLING THE PHOTOCELLS model PH200 (Fig. 4)
• position each photocell 40/60 cm above the ground • position them on the opposite sides of the zone to be protected • position
them as close as possible to the gate (maximum distance = 15 cm) • a tube for passing the cables must be present in the fastening point
• orient the TX transmitter towards the central zone of the RX receiver (allowed misalignment: maximum 5°)
For the installation procedure see Fig. 4.
3.7 - INSTALLING THE FLASHING LIGHT model FL200 (Fig. 5)
• The flashing light must be positioned near the gate in a clearly visible position. It can be fasted to a horizontal or vertical surface.
• For connection to the Flash terminal, no polarity needs to be observed; instead for connection of the shielded aerial cable, it is necessary to connect
the cable and sheath as shown in Fig. 6.
Choose the most suitable position in which to install the flashing light: it must be positioned near the gate in a clearly visible position. It can be fasted
to a horizontal or vertical surface.
For the installation procedure see Fig. 5.
