For a FIXED calibration, 1 or 2 buffers are available from a list of fixed buffer
values : IUPAC pH standards (pH 1.679, 4.005, 6.865, 7.000, 7.413, 9.180,
10.012, or 12.45), Technical buffers (pH 1.09, 4.65 or 9.23) or 4-7-10 Series.
The actual pH value of the buffer is automatically computed according to the
temperature measured or manually entered.
1.
Press the Cal key. If a temperature sensor is not connected, the
temperature display will appear:
The temperature must be adjusted manually, using the left or right
arrow keys. Press the
Note: If a temperature sensor is used, the temperature will be meas-
ured directly and the Cal Temperature display will not appear.
2.
Dip the electrode in the first buffer, e.g. 4.005, when the message
telling you to do so appears:
3.
Check that the electrode(s) is(are) properly immersed in the buffer
solution and that proper stirring is applied. Press the
4.
The measurement can now be followed on the display by means of the
pH reading and the visual STABility indicator. When the electrode
signal is stable the PHM220 will show the following display:
Note: If the method has been edited with the stability criterion set to
"0" you can use the
signal is to be used for the calibration. Please see Editing a Calibration,
