Note: If the method has been edited with the stability criterion set to "0" you
must use the
key to manually determine when the electrode signal is to be
used for the calibration. Please see Editing a Calibration, page 33.
6.
If you have edited your procedure for a 2-point calibration, you will
normally proceed to step 7. However, if you wish to interrupt the two-
point calibration at this point, you can do so by:
a. Pressing the Cal key; the message CAL. INTERRUPTED NO
DATA STORED will appear. Return to the Mode display by
pressing the Mode key or press
b. Pressing the Mode key; the display which then appears is the
same as that shown for a one-point calibration (see below).
If you have edited the method for a one-point calibration, the
CALCULATING PLEASE WAIT message will briefly appear to be
replaced by a display showing the calibration result, the new zero pH
and the previously determined sensitivity shown in brackets:
If a printer is connected, the calibration result will now be printed out
and stored in the GLP table.
Press the Sample key to proceed to sample measurements, or the
Mode key to return to the Mode display. Refer to pH Measurements,
page 21 or mV Measurements, page 24.
7.
To continue a two-point calibration, rinse the electrode(s) and tempera-
ture sensor thoroughly with deionised water and dab dry with a soft
tissue. Dip the electrode in buffer 2 and press
8.
The measurement can again be followed on the display by means of
the pH reading and the sliding STABility indicator. When the electrode
signal is stable the PHM220 will display the recognised second buffer.
If you have edited the method for a three-point calibration, the screen
above isreplaced by "Buffer 2: 7.000, Dip in buffer 3" then steps 7 and
8 are repeated for buffer no.3.
