Read these instructions carefully before starting the appliance. Keep these
instructions in a safe place. Should you sell the appliance, pass them on to
the purchaser.
1. Safety instructions

1.1 General safety

• You may not start the appliance if it exhibits visible damage.
• Repairs may only be made by authorized specialists. Improper repairs can be
hazardous.
• This appliance is not intended for persons with restricted physical, sensory
or mental capabilities (including children) or who lack the necessary expe-
rience or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for
their safety or receive instruction on how to use the appliance from such a
person. Children should be watched to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• Do not touch the plug with wet or sweaty hands
• Damaged cords must be replaced to avoid danger.
• Never hold the cord to pull the plug from the 12V socket.
• Always pull the plug out of the electric socket before cleaning and when you
are finished using the appliance.
1.2 Running the appliance safely
• Before starting the appliance, make sure that the cord and the plug are dry.
• Do not put the appliance in the immediate vicinity of open flames or other
sources of heat.
• Warning: danger of overheating! Be sure that the ventilation slots are not co-
vered and that the heat generated when the appliance is running can escape
adequately. Make sure that there is enough room between the appliance and
the wall or other objects to allow air to circulate freely
• Do not put liquids or ice directly into the inside compartment.
• Never immerse the appliance in water
• Protect the appliance and the cord from heat and moisture.
• When operating the cool box on 12 V, make sure that the 12 V plug is insert-
ed firmly and securely in the cigarette lighter socket and that the socket
is clean. If there is insufficient contact between the plug and the socket,
the vibration of the vehicle could result in the current supply intermittently
switching on and off, causing the cool box to overheat.
• The manufacturer shall assume no liability for damages caused by improper
use or incorrect operation.
2. Proper use
Electric cooler suitable for use by private persons to keep pre-cooled food and beverage
cool.
3. General instructions on using the appliance
• The cooler is not intended to run constantly. Ice can form on the aluminum radiator. We
recommend switching off the appliance after it has been running for six (6) days. You
can then restart the appliance two hours later.
• Dry the surfaces of the items you wish to keep cool to keep water from condensing.
• If you are using a 12V source of electricity, make sure that the power supply to the
cooler is not interrupted if you should switch the car engine on and off frequently, and
that the car's battery does not run down too much when the engine is switched off.
4. Operation
Before starting the cooler, we recommend washing it out inside with a damp cloth for
reasons of hygiene (see also the chapter on Care and Cleaning).
Set the cooler down on a solid, level surface. Connect the 12V connecting cord to a 12V
source of power (car cigarette lighter).
The cooler immediately begins cooling the interior compartment. It does not switch off
automatically when a minimum temperature is reached. The refrigerating unit keeps run-
ning as long as the cooler is hooked up to a source of electricity.
Tips for achieving the best cooling performance
• Choose a place that is well ventilated and shielded from the sun's ray.
• Only put pre-chilled items in the cooler.
• Do not open the cooler more often than necessary.
• Do not leave the lid open longer than necessary.

Attention!
• Always pull the plug out of the socket or the cigarette lighter before clea-
ning
• Never clean the cooler under running water
• Do not use harsh cleaning agents or chemicals
Use a damp cloth and mild soap solution to clean the inner part.
6. Possible malfunctions
First check whether you have properly adhered to the instructions for using the cooler, and
then further check the following:
• Is the connecting cord properly hooked up, or is your car's cigarette lighter functioning
properly?
• Have you set the cooler so that air can circulate freely and ensure that the refrigerating
unit is ventilated?
• Is the fuse in the plug of the 12V connecting cord OK?
• If you cannot remedy the malfunction by yourself, contact our customer service (see
Point 9)
7. Disposal
When you are finished with the appliance, please dispose of it in an environmentally com-
patible manner in accordance with currently effective regulations. You can obtain more
detailed information from the official agency responsible for your locality.

• The claim is asserted within the guarantee period.
• The purchase receipt indicating the date of purchase can be submitted.
Claims other than the aforementioned right to remedy defects shall not covered by the

to our service department for repair. In this case, your repair order will be carried out as
economically as possible. Our service department will be happy to give you information
regarding any costs which might arise for the repair. In this case, your unit will be returned
to with charges for the accruing freight costs and repair expenditures. The guarantee
period shall not be extended, nor shall a new guarantee period begin as a result of the
repair of the appliance or replacement of individual parts. Further or other claims, par-
ticularly those to compensation of damage which has occurred outside the appliance,
are precluded insofar as a liability is not obligatory by law. Gießen shall be the place
