as many times as programmed for the current
spin step (maximum 15); if no attempt
succeeds, the display will read the alarm E9
and will prompt the user to press START. If
START is pressed once the machine will
resume the spinning attempts as above; if it
is pressed repeatedly, the machine will
override the final spin and proceed to the
end of the cycle.
If the tilt switch trips during an intermediate
spin step the alarm is not displayed: after
slowing down, the machine will override
the spinning and will continue the cycle.
Alarm causes may be an incorrect laundry
load (too little or too big), unlevelled machine
positioning or dampers worn out through
repeated incorrect loads; at any rate, regularly
ensure that the tilt switch is in the correct
position following the instructions provided
above.

E0: motor overload.
10) Alarm E0: Motor overload cutout
In case of motor fault, i.e. overheating,
misconnection, etc., the motor is put to
neutral and the message E0 flashes on the
display. Besides the alarm signal, the display
reads the START prompt. Then, if the motor
alarm is momentary, the machine will
resume the cycle from the step in which it
was interrupted as soon as the START button
is pushed. (If the machine is at a spinning
step, after the motor is put to idle, a safety
interval will be allowed in order for the
drum to come to a complete stop). If after 5
consecutive tries performed in a short time
the alarm has not been dismissed, it will be
necessary to turn the machine off using the
master switch and then wait for at least 5
seconds in order for motor control to be re-
engaged.
Measures to be taken in case of a
voltage drop
If a voltage drop longer than 3 sec. occurs
during a wash cycle, on being re-energised
the display will read "POWER FAIL" with
the general danger sign and an hourglass
flashing for one minute: all functions will
be disabled. As soon as normal work
conditions are restored the cycle will be
resumed from the step that was in progress
when the voltage drop occurred and the
display unit will resume its normal functions.
Conversely, if the door is open when the
machine is re-energised, the cycle will be
aborted.
ATTENTION: If the ON - OFF switch is
actuated to turn machine off after the
cycle has been started, the microprocessor
will behave as if a voltage drop has
occurred and will react accordingly.
CAUTION! WHEN ONE OR MORE
ALARMS APPEAR ON DISPLAY
DURING MACHINE OPERATION,
REMOVE MISFUNCTION SOURCES
BEFORE STARTING A NEW CYCLE (IF
POSSIBLE). AND CONTACT THE
AUTHORISED AFTER-SALES SERVICE
OR DEALER IN ORDER TO AVOID
FURTHER DAMAGE.
7.8 INFORMATION SPECIAL
MEASURES FOR USE AND
PROTECTION
When carrying out the first cycle, verify the
following:
- Soap dispensers must stay clean.
• compartment A after taking in pre-wash
water;
• compartment B after taking in wash water;
• compartment C after taking in last rinse
water.
- Make sure that the soap made solid during
storing is washed away.
- Perform a 90°C cycle to remove all
manufacturing residue.
- The operator must be able to check soap
compartments with ease. Place a platform if
necessary.
- Make certain that laundry trolleys are
lower than the door's bottom edge.
- If need be, mount appropriate bumpers to
prevent trolleys from hitting and damaging
the door.
- Never open the soap compartment when
the machine is being filled with water or
it is heating.
7.9 ORDINARY MAINTENANCE BY
THE USER
BEFORE
ANY
MAINTENANCE
OPERATION, CHECK THAT THE
WALL CUTOFF SWITCH IS OFF AND
THE WATER TAPS ARE CLOSED.
THE DRUM MUST BE STILL AND
DRAINED AND THE TEMPERATURE
INSIDE IT MUST NOT EXCEED 40°C.
The machine requires no special
maintenance, thanks to its ergonomic design
and to the use of very reliable, first-quality
parts.
Regularly clean the machine outer panels
with a damp cloth. Clean the area around
the dispenser especially. Never use
flammable or abrasive products.
Notes concerning the control panel and
graphic display
- Do not clean the LCD display and the
keypad using acetone, alcohol or other
chemical agents. Also avoid using oil and
grease.
- Prevent contact of the glass with lacquer or
resin that may contain solvent; some of
these may weaken the resin that coats the
glass part.
- The glass can easily get scratched, cut or
broken. Be very careful when treating and
cleaning it. Clean only with a soft and dry
cloth.
WARNING! Do not exercise pressure on it.
- During use, condensation building up on
the glass can irremediably damage the
display. Even when not in use, any water or
saliva drops must be dried at once.
- In case of contact of body parts with the
fluid leaking out of a broken display, wash
with water and soap. In case of accidental
22
ingestion, see a doctor. Although the
product's toxicity is very low, it is still
necessary to proceed with caution.
- Just like any other electronic component,
the display is susceptible to electrostatic
discharge. Take the usual measures for use
and handling.
NEVER WASH THE APPLIANCE USING
WATER JETS.
BEFORE TURNING THE MACHINE
BACK ON BY THE WALL CUTOFF
SWITCH, PUT ALL THE PANELS YOU
HAVE REMOVED BACK IN PLACE.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR
MAINTENANCE AND
REPAIR PERSONNEL
8. EXTRAORDINARY
MAINTENANCE AND ORDERING
SPARE PARTS
8.1 REMOVE THE LID.
To reach the machine electrical parts, take
off the screws fastening the lid to the soap
dispenser and proceed as follows:
A) Key-locked cover lid : insert the keys
supplied into the two locks located at the
top's rear.
Unlock the lid's front and lift it until it can
be held up by the stop rod located on the side
of the machine, beside the soap dispenser.
The lid is hinged at the back of the machine
and cannot be removed altogether.
B) Lid without key-lock: take off the screws
fastening the lid to the back panel; then lift
the rear part of the lid and pull it to the front
by approximately 5 cm.
BEFORE TURNING THE MACHINE
BACK ON BY THE WALL CUTOFF
SWITCH, PUT ALL THE PANELS YOU
HAVE REMOVED BACK IN PLACE.
8.2 TROUBLESHOOTING
• If the machine does not work, check the
following:
- the main cutoff switch on the wall is on and
the machine is getting current;
- the door is closed;
- the START push-button has been pressed;
- the warm water, cold water and steam taps
are open (the steam tap only for steam-
heated machines).
If the fault is not due to any of the above
causes, call the authorised after-sales service
or your dealer (see last page of this booklet).
8.3 SAFETY DEVICES
- Door closed safety microswitch cuts off power
to the whole auxiliary circuit and consequently
stops the machine.
- Electronic thermal switch (overload cutout)
within the motor: disconnects power supply in
the event of coil overheating.
- Air-break system in the soap dispenser: prevents
wastewater from polluting the drinkable water
system in the event of a depression.
