AM loop antenna

Connect the supplied AM loop antenna to the AM
ANTENNA terminal.
Place the antenna in the direction which gives the
best reception.
You can hook the AM loop antenna on a wall as
shown below:

FM antenna
Connect the T-type FM antenna to the FM 75Ω
terminal. Extend the antenna into a "T" shape to find
the best position for the reception and attach it to
a window frame or wall with thumbtacks or the like.
This antenna may need to be repositioned if you
move your unit to a new location.
FM Outdoor Antenna
In an area where FM signals are weak, it will be
necessary to use a 75-ohm outdoor FM antenna.
Generally, a 3-element antenna will be sufficient; if you
live in an area where the FM signals are particularly
weak, it may be necessary to use one with 5 or more
elements.

Battery compartment

The battery supplies a backup power to the built-in
clock and memory, when the unit is momentarily
disconnected from the AC outlet.
Battery installation
1. Slide down to remove the lid.
2. Insert commercially available two AAA alkaline
batteries.
3. Replace the lid.
Battery replacement
If the clock comes to indicate the wrong time, replace
the batteries with new ones.
NOTE:
< Alkaline bateries should be used.

AC Power Cord

Be sure to connect the power cord to an AC outlet
which supplies the correct voltage.
Hold the power plug when plugging or unplugging
the power cord. Never pull or yank on the power cord.
When unplugging the power cord or the power
off*, the clock, timer and radio station preset will be
deleted.
* The batteries for the backup are not installed.
* The batteries for the backup are exhausted.
