To play your iPod/iPhone through the SR-2, you have first
to set the adapter to fit your model of iPod/iPhone.
1. Select the Dock adapter that fits your iPod/
iPhone.
"nano" for iPod nano 1st and 2nd generations.
"iPhone/Classic 160GB" for iPhone 2nd and 3rd
generations or iPod Classic 160 GB.
"20GB + U2" for iPod with Click Wheel (20 GB, U2 Special
Edition), iPod with video (30 GB) and iPod classic (80 GB).
"60GB (color) + Photo 40GB/60GB" for iPod with Click
Wheel (40 GB), iPod with color display, iPod with video
(60 GB) and iPod classic (160 GB).
< Use the adapter that supplied with the iPod/iPhone or
a commercially available one to play the other types of
iPod/iPhone.
2. Insert the adapter into the Dock of the SR-2.
Fit the front edge of the adapter into the Dock, and
then press the back edge of the adapter onto the Dock
until a slight "click" is heard indicating the adapter is
inserted correctly.

< When you remove the adapter, hold the left and right
sides of the adapter and gently pull it up.

Compatible iPod/iPhone Software
In case your iPod/iPhone will not work with the SR-2
or with the remote control unit, software update may
solve the problem.
Visit the Apple website and download the latest iPod/
iPhone Software.

Note for iPod touch 1st and 2nd generations
and iPhone
If the iPod touch/iPhone that is in video playback mode
is inserted into the Dock of SR-2 in the standby mode,
the SR-2 is not turned on.
If you want to playback the sound of the video of iPod
touch/iPhone 1st and 2nd generations and iPhone,
connect iPod touch/iPhone into the Dock first, then
operate the SR-2 or iPod/iPhone.
< The SR-2 may turn on when you play the data to which
the audio signals are output earlier than the video
signal.
iPod/iPhone video output
Make the following settings on your iPod/iPhone's
menu to output video to a TV via the Dock.
In the [Video] menu, select [Video Settings]. And then
set [TV OUT] to [On] or [Ask].
If you have set [TV OUT] to [Ask], your iPod/iPhone
prompts you each time you play a video to specify
whether to output it to a TV.
If you output video to a TV from your iPod/iPhone, the
video is not displayed on the iPod/iPhone's screen.
iPod touch*/iPhone does not contain this menu. You
will have to specify whether to an output video to a TV
each time you play it.
