6 Commissioning and Operation

Damage to property and injuries due to improper
assembly!
Improperly assembled inverted tooth chains can break loose and
lash about uncontrollably.

Check whether the sprockets are secure on the shaft, and
whether they are parallel to each other and aligned.

Check whether the inverted tooth chain is positioned
correctly and locked safely.
Corrosion protection oil and lubricants can cause skin
irritation!
The inverted tooth chain drive's corrosion protection oil and
lubricants can cause skin irritation.

Wear appropriate protective gloves and protective clothing.
Danger of crushing!
Working on the inverted tooth chain drive while the system is
running can cause major injuries from moving machinery.

Maintain enough safety clearance.
X
Do no intervene with an inverted tooth chain that is in
operation.

Before commissioning

1. Remove the yellow tag from the inverted tooth chain, take note
of the information on it, and retain it for reference.
2. Remove residues of the corrosion protection oil from the
inverted tooth chain drive if the system application requires
(e.g. food industry).
3. Lubricate the inverted tooth chain.
