Observe the following for inverted tooth chain
drives
• Observe the valid local regulations to protect the environment
in the country of use and to avoid workplace accidents.
• Only use the inverted tooth chain drive in perfect order. Examine
the product for obvious deficiencies or transport damage such
as cracks, points of impact, missing pins or plates.
• Only use the inverted tooth chain drive for the performance
range provided in the sales documents or the bid
documentation. See page 84 for detailed information.
• Persons assembling, operating, disassembling or maintaining
the inverted tooth chain drive may not be under the influence of
alcohol or other drugs, or medications that influence their ability
to respond.
• Switch the system off and secure the system from being
switched on again before installing or maintaining the inverted
tooth chain. Observe the operating instructions for the entire
machine or system for these tasks as well.
• Only work on the inverted tooth chain drive when it is
motionless. Secure the sprockets to prevent them from turning
inadvertently, if necessary.
• If you disable safety devices in order to work on the product, you
must ensure that this does not create dangers for personal
injury and damage. Observe the operating instructions for the
entire machine or system for these tasks as well.
• The inverted tooth chain drive heats up during operation.
– Let the product cool down before touching it.
– Protect yourself with heat-resistant protective clothing, e.g.
with cloves.
• Observe the transport notes on the packaging and the total
weight of the delivery on the delivery note.
• Before transporting the inverted tooth chain drive, ensure that
the lifting equipment has been dimensioned properly and is
secured safely. Do not stand under moving loads.
• Do not place the sprockets on the toothing.
• Store the inverted tooth chain drive in the transport packaging
and in a dry location at room temperature. Avoid large
fluctuations in temperature.
