1. Insert the lock pivot (8) through the plate holes of the inverted
tooth chain up to the stop.
2. Insert the rolling pivot (7) through the plate holes from the
opposite side. Observe the pin arrangement (see Table 8 on
page 66) for this step.
3. Place the washer (9) on the lock pivot's free end. The tight fit

of the washer on the pin is an intentional safety measure.
4. Hammer the washer on in such a way that the inverted tooth
chain runs smoothly at the joint.
5. Rivet the end of the lock pivot.
1. Remove the safety plates (not riveted) at the respective end of
the chain.
2. Push out the loose axle pivot, which is already located inside
that end of the chain, using the lock pivot with riveted outer
plate (12). It replaces the axle pivot that has been removed.

3. Insert the lock pivot that belongs to the double rivet pin lock
(8) from the opposite side. The end of the pin must be inserted
in the outer plate (12) up to the stop.
4. Ensure that the outer plates (11) have been installed in the
correct position by comparing them to the neighboring links in
the chain.
5. Hammer on the outer plate and rivet the three ends of the lock
pivots (8 and 12).
1. Insert the lock pivot (8) through the chain's plate holes until it
stops.
2. Insert the rolling pivot (7) through the plate holes from the
opposite side. Observe the pin arrangement (see Table 8 on
page 66) for this step.

3. Place the washer (9) on the lock pivot's free end. The tight fit

4. Hammer the washer on in such a way that the inverted tooth
chain runs smoothly at the joint.
5. Fasten the end of the lock pivot with the split pin (10).
